The Program Committee selected the experience report by Scott Heggen and Cody Myers as the best paper of SEEM 2018. The authors receive a free workshop registration and a special slot to present their work. Their paper is titled “Hiring Millennial Students as Software Engineers: A Study in Developing Self-Confidence and Marketable Skills.”
The runners-up were:
- Research paper by Dora Dzvonyar, Lukas Alperowitz, Dominic Henze and Bernd Bruegge, titled “Team Composition in Software Engineering Project Courses (Research Paper”
- Experience report by Kevin Buffardi, titled “Tech Startup Learning Activities: A Formative Evaluation.”
